My trip to Kenya allowed me to meet and work with many resourceful and hard working Kenyans who demonstrated a quiet courage and loving energy that will live in me for a long time.
I saw first hand the great need everywhere for food, shelter, health care and education. As well it was very painful to see and meet the street children who had no family or who had escaped abusive relationships. Although life is so hard they still smiled, laughed, sang and showed us their strong spirits despite so many challenges. They gave us so much love and gratitude for the varied gifts and hope that we brought to them.
Lastly, it was also an unforgettable feast for the eyes! We saw beautiful blooming trees and shrubs, a variety of landscapes and photographed amazing wildlife. I experienced all of this while getting to know five other caring, compassionate and dedicated team members.
